Introduction to Horizontal Cement Silos
Horizontal cement silos are a new type of cement silo designed by our company to cooperate with mobile mixing stations. The silo uses a pressure-relief structure to effectively prevent cement arching. Coupled with a special fluidizing device, it ensures uniform cement discharge, prevents compaction during long-term storage, and a hidden dust collector ensures dust-free loading.
Features of Horizontal Cement Silos
1. Easy installation and disassembly; can be installed on a relatively flat foundation; short installation cycle; easy to move frequently.
2. During transportation, the height and width of the cement silo do not exceed the limit; a 6-meter vehicle can transport it; the cement silo can be stacked and reused.
3. After installation, the overall height is low, and the overall length is suitable for corridor construction, storing various bulk materials such as cement, fly ash, and bentonite.
4. Cement is blown into the storage silo through the inlet pipe by wind. As the pressure in the silo increases, the gas in the silo is filtered through the dust removal device and discharged from the outlet, while the cement mixed with the gas is retained in the cement silo. The operation is simple and environmentally friendly.
Working Principle of Thickened Horizontal Cement Silos
1. When the cement silo (cement tank) is working, it must be erected by a special crane and then placed on a prefabricated concrete foundation. The verticality of the cement silo (cement tank) to the horizontal plane after erection should be checked, and then its bottom should be welded firmly to the foundation embedded parts.
2. After the storage silo is fixed, cement is transported to the construction site by a bulk cement truck, and then the conveying pipeline of the bulk cement truck is connected to the inlet pipeline of the cement silo (cement tank). The gas pressure of the bulk cement truck is used to transport the cement in the tank to the cement silo (cement tank).
3. During the process of conveying cement into the storage silo, the operator should continuously press the button of the dust collector vibration motor to shake off the cement attached to the dust collector bag to prevent the bag from being blocked and causing silo rupture.
4. Once the bag is blocked, and the internal pressure exceeds the safety pressure of the top pressure safety valve, the pressure safety valve will open to release the internal pressure, preventing silo rupture accidents.
5. The high and low levels can be observed to see if the silo is full or empty.
6. When it is necessary to discharge, first open the manual discharge valve at the bottom of the cone, and then transport the cement out through the cement conveying device (screw conveyor). During the discharge process, if arching occurs, press the button of the arch breaking device solenoid valve in time to blow air, eliminate the arching, and feed to ensure smooth cement supply.
7. When the cement conveying device (screw conveyor) malfunctions, first close the manual discharge valve at the bottom of the cone to prevent cement spillage and waste.
Maintenance of Horizontal Cement Silos
Depending on the type of top dust collector used in your cement silo, but mainly includes the following parts:
1. Filtration system: Check whether the bags inside the dust collector need to be replaced (if it has pressure difference control, check the pressure difference gauge directly).
2. Check the ash removal system: Depending on the dust collector, there are mainly mechanical ash removal mechanisms and pulse ash removal mechanisms.
3. Power system: Check whether the induced draft fan is running normally, mainly the daily maintenance of the fan (some top dust collectors do not have fans installed).
4. Equipment body: Check the sealing of the equipment (to prevent air leakage).
